Day 106, 107, 108, 109, 110 & 111: 365 Project

Sam and I went to the World's Largest Water Balloon Fight last Friday. It didn't exactly turn out to be what everyone thought. We got there early and as we're walking up to get in line to sign in. We waited about 10 or 15 minutes. Not too long. Then we overheard an interesting conversation from some not-so-interesting people.

Guy 1: Dude, Why aren't you coming in here for the balloon fight?
Guy 2: Meh. Don't want to.
Guy 1: Come on!
Guy 2: No, Bill wants me to walk with him.
Guy 2: Dude! What are you doing tonight?
Guy 1: Nothing, why?
Guy 2: Let's get drunk!
Guy 1: Yeah! Where?
Guy 2: Everywhere!
Guy 2: Yeah! Let's get Fratified!

I love the IQ of these kids who entertain us while in line.
Anyway, we signed and started to scope out a nice place throw water balloons at people. Well, we were more or less looking for friends. We didn't find any in this huge parking lot filled with people.

This is us waiting for the fun to begin! I'm in my $5 T-Shirt I got there! Woot Woot!

Our Shadows!!

We then noticed at around 5:15-5:20, people were starting to take bags of balloons out of this huge box-type-thing. (If you look closely, you can see water falling from the bottom of the bags being picked up) And about 10 minutes before the water balloon fight was even supposed to begin, people started throwing balloons at each  other! All of these people spent so much time planning this and filling up over 150,000 balloons just for people to start early and ruin our chances of actually winning this thing. I have no idea how many people actually showed up to this thing since people were apparently jumping over the gate to get balloons once they started before checking in and there were even people who were still signing in as Sam and I were done and leaving.

Sam with our two bags of balloons!

Yes, there was a random orange bear there. Doesn't every balloon fight have one?!

And this is the ground once the craziness was over.

Even though we didn't achieve World's Largest Balloon Fight, it was still fun to see the community get together, and it was just fun to get balloons and throw them at random people. I don't regret going, I just wish that people could have actually followed the rules. Either way, it was fun!

Afterward, we went to Swiggs because we got half off food if we wore our Balloon Fight shirts. We had been wanting to try the food there, so it was the perfect opportunity!
