Blog Goal
As a writer, without a writing career at the moment, I wanted a place to use as a creative outlet. In 2011, I used my blog as a place to document my 365 Project (a picture a day for a year). I'm feeling inspired again to write!
Homeland/Education
Grew up in the tiny town of Porterville, CA. Graduated from high school in 2005. Attended Porterville College for three years and graduated with my Associate's Degree in English and photography. Moved to Fresno to attend Fresno State in 2008. In December 2010, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication and Journalism with an emphasis in Print Journalism.
Love
My first love is the Author of my life, the Creator of the Universe and my God.
My second love is my husband and best friend, Sam Lopez.
He lived across the street from me for the majority of my life. We became really good friends, and eventually started liking each other. In 2004, we decided it would be best to wait one year to make sure that our feelings were real and this relationship was what God wanted. Turns out it was! In February 2005, we started dating. Through MANY ups and downs, we made it to April 2010 when he proposed to me. We were anxious to start the rest of our lives together, so that August we got married. He is the most selfless, godly man I know and I'm so completely blessed he chose me.

Careers
Well, I have yet to have an actual dream career, but right now I'm blessed with working at an insurance underwriting company. A couple I go to church with own it, and I also work with a many others I attend church with. I'm currently working as an Administrative Assistant, with a little marketing thrown in. It's not at all what I expected for myself, but it's been a great experience to learn something new. I've also been able to meet some great people.
I've done a lot of babysitting as well.
But my favorite, and most difficult job so far, was working for my college campus newspaper, The Collegian. If you search "Michelle Furnier," you'll find all my articles. I learned so much about writing, journalism and people there. This job drove me nuts at times, but it's one of my favorite experiences.
Hobbies/Passions
I love: photography, writing, reading, music and television
Always obsessions: Jesus, Gilmore Girls, Friends, Michael Buble, Green, Dark Chocolate, Redvines, Rubber Duckies, Peanuts (Charlie Brown), Irony
Current Obsessions: Love, Breaking Bad and chocolate covered strawberries
